1. “A Good Day To Be A Dog” - Jin SeoWon
Cha EunWoo will play Jin SeoWon in the upcoming webtoon-based fantasy/romantic comedy drama “A Good Day To Be A Dog”. Jin SeoWon is a handsome and capable young man who works as a teacher. He has a cold and indifferent aura with a particular dislike for the female protagonist Han HaeNa (Park GyuYoung). He also has an unexplained phobia of dogs stemming from childhood trauma. Despite his outer appearance, he is warm, gentle, and caring. He might not show it, but he is deeply considerate and thoughtful. When he opens up to someone, his unique sense of humor also shines in all its glory.
2. “Island” - YoHan
Cha EunWoo is set to play an exorcist priest YoHan in the upcoming supernatural thriller drama “Island”, which is also based on a webtoon of the same name. YoHan is one of the three central protagonists of the drama. Even though he’s a priest by occupation, he’s just like any other young man of his age - trendy, spirited, and enthusiastic but a little on the innocent side. He was adopted soon after birth and raised in the United States but returns to Korea to find his mother. He is learning Korean through K-Dramas so as to not forget his mother tongue. He looks bright and lively but has a dark history of abandonment and regret. YoHan has a strong sense of justice, and potent spiritual power. He believes that it is his mission in life to vanquish evil and protect others from it.
3. “Decibel” - Jeon TaeRyong
“Decibel” will be Cha EunWoo’s first ever movie role since his debut, and he will be playing the role of Jeon TaeRyong. The movie is a disaster action film surrounding a bomb that is triggered by sound placed at the center of a city, threatening to cause mass destruction. Jeon TaeRyong is a young and confident navy officer who dealt with a similar situation in a submarine. He’s an expert SONAR technician and plays a key role in defusing the crisis. Cha EunWoo shared in his “MY VOGUE” video with Vogue Korea that he put all his effort into this role and even studied the storyboard to understand the process of making a film better.
