Among these girl groups, a lot of female idols are extremely talented. These idols are contenders for the best fourth gen dancers list, best fourth gen vocalists list and the best idols with undeniable charisma, but not many fans seem to notice or know of them. Glad you came to check this list out, because this article will tell you 7 underappreciated female K-Pop idols that debuted from 2020 that fans need to pay more attention to and support.

1. Weeekly’s Park SoEun

We’ve discussed another Weeekly member in our article “Why Weeekly’s Monday Is The Most Underrated Rookie Ace”, but she’s not the only Weeekly member deserving of recognition. Park SoEun is a very talented dancer, one with body control and good technique. She’s skilled at making good lines with her body through dance, just like TWICE’s Momo and ITZY’s ChaeRyeong do. Her vocal colour is beautiful as well. If K-Pop fans can see her potential and encourage her more, SoEun might just unarguably be one of the best fourth generation dancers in the future.

2. Billlie’s SiYoon

Right from her iconic parts in Billlie’s debut song ‘RING x RING’, it was obvious that SiYoon was already a fantastic idol. Her sense of flow and rhythm as a main rapper are top notch, but that isn’t the only talent in SiYoon’s collection. Her dance skills are so mesmerising, especially in combination with Billlie’s unique sound and choreography. Her solid training and background in dance may be a plus, but SiYoon was born with the talent. The whole group definitely needs more recognition, but SiYoon is a star in the making, and fans need to appreciate and support her on the journey to the top.

3. PURPLE KISS’ Swan

Anyone who has listened to PURPLE KISS’ discography can testify to the insane talent the group has as a whole. The vocals, rap (shout out to main rapper Yuki), dance, visuals… everything is absolutely spectacular. Swan in particular has one of the most mesmerising vocals you’ll ever hear. Her soft and smooth vocal tone are so beautiful, it’s a surprise there aren’t many fans talking about her. The whole group needs to be appreciated more, but Swan is that one fourth gen vocalist fans absolutely need to listen to and hype.

4. NMIXX’s HaeWon

Debuting earlier this year alongside six other members under JYP Entertainment, it’s safe to say that HaeWon must be talented, and she is. Her vocals are smooth yet powerful, and she has clear enunciation and you can tell her breathing technique is marvelous. For her to have all this as a vocalist while being a rookie idol that’s less than a year old is an incredible feat on its own, so not just NSWERs, but all K-Pop fans need to appreciate her more. She’s definitely on her way to become a top tier vocalist.

5. PIXY’s DiA

If you have seen PIXY’s debut stage with ‘Wings’, you would’ve been in awe of DiA’s amazing stage presence. Her rap skills were note worthy, but her dance skills were incredibly beautiful to watch. It feels like you’re watching a seasoned performer when you watch DiA on stage rather than the rookie idol that she is. Such charisma and top tier dance skills are an absolute must for fans to stan unconditionally, and she only gets better with every PIXY comeback.

6. SECRET NUMBER’s Jinny

SECRET NUMBER’s predebut hype stemmed from the diversity in the group, as most members were foreign or Gyopos (Korean-Americans). Jinny being one of the Korean-American members received her fair share of hype, but even more so when it was revealed that she was previously in the predebut lineup for BLACKPINK. She garnered so much attention and fans were ecstatic, but her talents aren’t as appreciated as they should be. Jinny is an excellent rapper with incredible flow and rhythm—YG does train good rappers— and a talented dancer, and it would be amazing if more fans are aware of her undeniably powerful skills.

7. woo!ah!’s Nana

NaNa is a visual and the leader in her group, and fans would agree these positions are well deserved, but her dance skills are another amazing skill that fans need to look at more. She is a talented dancer, and with more encouragement from fans, she is bound to be even better than she already is.   What female rookie idols do you think are underrapreciated?
