“Shooting Stars” is a romantic comedy about real-life stories of the people behind the scene who shed blood, sweat, and tears to make celebrities shine bright like the stars in the sky. Let’s take a look at the reasons why it should be on your watchlist this April!
1. The star-studded cast and much-needed reunions
Not only do we have a star-studded cast, but there will also be nostalgia from some of the reunions we see onscreen. Lee SungKyoung will be making her K-Drama comeback (with a lead role) for the first time in nearly 2 years. Her previous main role was in “Dr. Romantic 2”. Our other lead role will be played by Kim YoungDae who is one of the most sought-after rising stars in the K-Drama industry right now. We will also be getting to see an onscreen reunion between him and Yoon JongHoon. The two acted together in the popular K-Drama “Penthouse: War In Life” which means a reunion could be nostalgic for fans of that show. We will also get to see some of our favorite K-Pop stars onscreen. Girl’s Day’s SoJin and CNBLUE’s Lee JungShin have also been cast in the drama.
2. On-camera behind-the-scenes look into the industry
It’s always exciting to watch K-Dramas about the Korean entertainment industry because it gives us a behind-the-scenes look at the world of our favorite stars. Even though the story is fictional, it should be interesting to see a peek into the daily operations and lives of the characters which are based on reality (to an extent).
3, Another feel-good rom-com
These days K-Dramas have been focusing on a number of drama genres and less on romantic dramas. There are some popular rom-coms out at the moment but the prospect of getting another one to add to our watchlist is exciting!
